About our Chapter

The Peninsula Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. is a mother-daughter organization based on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, serving women and their daughters in grades seven through twelve. We provide valuable philanthropic, leadership and cultural experiences to our members and strive to meet the critical needs of our local community through hands-on volunteer support.

Peninsula Chapter Ticktockers and their mothers volunteer at over thirty South Bay philanthropic organizations. The group owns and operates the Ticktocker Thrift Shop located in San Pedro.  The Thrift Shop serves as a major source of funding for college scholarships awarded to students with financial need, as well as grants to local philanthropic organizations.  A few of the philanthropies we support include Little Sisters of the Poor, Boys and Girls Clubs of the LA Harbor and the South Bay, Beacon House Recovery Center, Harbor Interfaith Services, Pediatric Therapy Network, Providence TrinityKids Care Hospice, Saint Peter and Paul Poverty Program and the 1736 Family Crisis Center.
